About Us
We are a grassroots community group made up of residents, business owners, and ratepayers from across the Snowy Valleys. For nine years we’ve been working to undo the failed merger of Tumut and Tumbarumba councils.
We believe every town and village deserves a council that listens, represents, and delivers for its people. The forced amalgamation in 2016 took that away — leaving us with higher rates, poorer services, and a council that has lost millions of dollars year after year.
The NSW Government has now given us the chance to choose through a referendum. A majority YES vote will restore Tumut and Tumbarumba councils, and with them local voices, local decision-making, and stronger communities.
This website exists to:
Share up-to-date information about the referendum process.
Present the financial and community case for de-amalgamation.
Give every resident the tools to make an informed choice.
We are not politicians. We are locals who care about the future of our towns.
